For Numbers Day, children in year 4 explored the work of Italian artist Tobia Rava, who creates artwork using numbers. Inspired by his style and our class text The Ice Palace, children designed their own skeletal trees. They then filled their designs with numbers to combine maths and art in a creative way.

We have really been inspired by this week's topic, creating 2D and 3D pieces linked to Space and aliens.

It’s been a challenge but year 3 have tried really hard to draw Tutankhamen using a grid to help with proportion and accuracy.

Reception had fun mixing red and blue paint using their hands. We found lots of different shades of purple. What a surprise!!!

Year 5 have found out about famous artist William Morris as part of their Victorian Art topic.

Year 6 have begun looking at composition and how artists create depth in their artwork.

Reception enjoyed mixing red and yellow paint today to make a new colour. They are looking forward to exploring what other colours they can make!

As part of their new Art topic 'Mythological Monsters', Year 4 used collage materials to create a Medusa in the style of artist and illustrator Sara Fanelli. They were all very creative!

Year 2 began their ’Natural Art’ topic by focusing on drawing leaves. Looking carefully at shapes and lines in order to add detail. We think they have very wise eyes!
