Reception has read a book about Rama and Sita this week. These stories are shared at Diwali. We have learnt about how people celebrate during this festival.

To finish off a busy week, Year 1 have been considering Christianity, with a focus on how Christians believe that God is all around them. They spent time outside selecting items from the natural world that helps to show this, but understood that the sun, sky and humans could not be stuck into their books!

In RE this week, the children have been considering if things exist even if we can't see them. The children then drew a picture to represent what God means to them - some drew hearts, as God represents love to them, some drew images that represented religious figures from their own religions. The children spoke respectfully and articulately about their beliefs and faiths.
