Year 3 Science

It has been a plant based theme this week in Year 3, as the science journey was extended to consider how water moves through plants. To test this out the children worked collaboratively to set up investigations using celery, food colouring, water and white flowers. The children observed over the afternoon if and how the water was transported through the celery sticks and flowers. They made predictions about which colours would show the best and if the flowers would be quicker to transport water than celery.
