During PSHE lessons in year 2 the children have been focussing on being safe. The theme was around tying your shoe laces which links to the video they watched about a girl that is at school and wants to go and play. Her shoes laces are undone so her teacher tells her to tie them before going out. The children had to think about who was making the right decision. We watched what happened when she did and didn't listen to the teacher. When she didn't listen the girl fell and got hurt. The children then looked at things that were safe and unsafe and discussed why. We then finished the topic by carrying out role play activities and creating a safety poster for school.
