Year 1 Writing

In Year 1 our writing lessons have been very busy this week. We have started our new writing journey based on the book Handa's Surprise. To help generate ideas for adjectives this week, the children enjoyed tasting may of the fruits from the story - exploring the shape, colour, texture and taste of the fruits.


The children then used these adjectives to write sentences about the fruits. The children then retold the story to their partner using the story maps they created.
