Internet Safety Day – Reception

Reception followed the story of a little penguin called Smartie.  Smartie wanted an iPad for his birthday, and he was super excited when he received one from his dad and mum.  Smartie was having lots of fun playing his game on the iPad but then things kept popping up. He felt a little scared, what should he do?

The children discussed what they would do in Smartie’s position and then voted on the best choice to make.

The children had 3 scenarios to solve, and they were all a little surprised when they found that some of the games, they watch at home were too old for them to be viewing.  These included – Roblox, Minecraft and Fortnite.

We learned a song to help us remember internet safety.
