Diwali Celebrations

Year 1 enjoyed an afternoon of learning about Diwali. We changed into colourful clothes to celebrate the festival of light, then listened to the story of Rama and Sita. We learnt that there are 5 days of Diwali, and what people do to celebrate on these days. We sequenced events from the story and then created Rangoli patterns using templates and creating own our patterns.
