Children in year 4 were fascinated by sorting materials into solids, liquids, and gases, noticing some could fit into more than one category. Some curious scientists mentioned that materials like chocolate and water could be classified differently because chocolate could melt from a solid into a liquid, and water could exist as a solid (ice), liquid, or gas (steam)!
