Finding Half

In Maths Year 1 have explored finding half of a quantity. We know that half is when something is split into 2 equal groups. We had fun splitting children into 2 equal groups between adults in the classroom, before working together to split a quantity of cubes between two children to find half. We have made lots of links with our previous learning and know that halves are opposites to doubles. We also made links with half past times.
