Children in 3SA enjoyed conducting a Science experiment today to test which material is the most reflective so that we can add  reflective strips to our book bags to make it easier for cars to see us when we walk to school during dark mornings or evenings. Maths Week 2019

3PJ had lots of fun on Friday afternoon, taking part in different activities to celebrate Maths Week. To start with we took part in a Maths 'Escape Room', where the children had to find clues and use their problem solving clues to crack the code that would let us 'escape'. After we had worked out the code, the children chose different activities to finish off the afternoon. Some children played Mathopoly, answering maths questions to work their way around the board and getting as many points as they could. We also had a TT Rockstars competition to see who was the fastest in our class. Keep playing on TT Rockstars to improve your time!

3PJ's Warburtons Workshop

3PJ had a special visit last week from Warburtons to start off our new Design and Technology Topic: 'The Great Bread Bake Off'. To start with we all made our own loaves of bread in the shape of hedgehogs. We then had the opportunity to taste and evaluate different types of Warburtons bread. We even got some to take home!

Over the next few weeks we are going to be designing and making our own bread, using our market research and thinking about the different flavours and shapes for our bread.

Activating New Vocabulary

Year 3 enjoyed exploring new vocabulary at the start of their new geography topic 'Megacities'.

Class Reader

Children enjoyed voting for their end of the day class reader.

Children were given the choice of four stories to celebrate different cultures.

With the most votes we will be reading - The Daring Dragon over the next few weeks and then Never Trust a Tiger.

Activating Vocabulary

Children have enjoyed activating vocabulary in their English lesson while learning about the Nile Crocodile.
