Parent Ambassadors

Parent Ambassadors establish and build upon relationships between families and school; they also help families in getting the most from the school and community. Please come and meet them at drop in sessions every Wednesday morning at 9am in the eco classroom on the school playground.

A Parent Ambassador can:

  • Support families when there child starts at school, including giving tours of the school

  • Encourage parental involvement in children’s education

  • Involve parents in all aspects of school life by increasing their understanding of the British education system, school policies and practice

  • Help recruit parents for adult and family learning classes

  • Run ESOL and ESOL for Health classes

  • Address specific needs with individual families

  • Signpost parents to the right services

  • Organise meetings - there is a drop in coffee morning every Wednesday morning in the eco-room

  • Support in family learning and other adult learning classes e.g. E Safety Workshops

  • Act as interpreters/translators during open evenings and new parent meetings
