Science Week - Melting Materials.

In Year 1 we have explored melting different materials. We began by measuring how hot our hands were by using a thermometer. Then we chose 3 things that we wanted to test. We could choose from skittles, ice, chocolate buttons, pebbles, tealight candles or marshmallows. We held the things in our hands (inside a paper towel) for 3 minutes and then observed what had happened to our items. Some had melted completely, some only a little bit, and some had not changed at all!
