PE

In Year 1 this week, outdoor PE was a real pleasure in the sunshine! We have been battling the cold and rain. The children completed their topic on Fundamental Movement Skills, by learning to throw and kick a ball from their hand. This was a tricky skill to master, but there was some real success by the end of the session!

Year 1 were set a strange challenge today in their PE lesson. They are working on fundamental movement skills and have been working on throwing and catching. Today, they were challenged to catch a ball in a cone!

The children have continued their topic of controlling objects. This week they were excellent at dribbling a basketball. The worked hard to control the ball whilst standing still and then developed the skill at dribbling whilst walking.
