On History Day, Year 3 learnt about how computers have changed since they were first invented. The children were amazed about the size of the first computers! They explored how computers were used to begin with and looked at how their use has changed over time. They also considered a quote from Ken Olsen, co-founder of a major computing company: "There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home." They investigated all the ways computers are used at home and in our daily lives, and agreed that this quote no longer applies to modern times as there are lots of reasons why people have computers at home!
