Year 2 visit to the Snow Dome

Year 2 had a fantastic day at the Snow Dome! We experienced the cold temperatures encountered by the explorers Captain Robert Falcon Scott and Matthew Henson. We noticed how cold our fingers and toes became and also how difficult it is to walk on thick snow. This has helped us to understand why Captain Scott's team didn't make it back to their ship and why explorers need to be well prepared for the cold weather.
