In year 2 we have been working hard on adding two, 2 digit numbers together. We have been working on the hundred squares and showing our working out on a number-line adding the tens and then the ones. We have also been deepening our understanding of addition by representing our number equations on a part, part whole model and a bar model. Some of the children are working on the fact families and are linking their understanding of addition and subtraction. We have worked together as collaborative caterpillars.
